After playing natural selection 2 and watching Prometheus, i have to admit im getting more into the sci-fi environment.
From looking at the marines in those games i find that their suit is very complex and thought doing my own version of a suit would be a challenge. Mainyl with the hard surface stuff
Most of the work is in zbrush, and by using alot of the new tools in zbrush 4r4.
Still work in progress. I also may texture at some point, however assignments are holding me back > >.
First of all, this is a very good model you should be proud of! I think the neck should be pulled down for sure (which I think someone had posted that already), and either the head needs to be just a little bigger or the hands need to be smaller. When you place the base of the palm the tips of the fingers should come right above the eyes, or eyebrows. Check the hips too, I think they might need to be pulled out just a pinch around her core, kind of hard to explain with text. Other than that, I love all of the tiny details, all of the rivets, buckles, and zipper. I'm impressed with the overall form and concept of the character. The face looks great too. You might want to keep the model clean, but what do you think about adding a few dents and scratches to the armor? Great work!
For a "work in progress", this is effing brilliant. I'm attracted to her on first sight! Thank you for sharing. How long does it take to learn zBrush? Everyone is different, but how long did it take you? Did you know any 3D apps before zBrush?
Many thanks! Hmm well i have been learning for about a year now takes me a long time well for this one about 20hrs+ Yea knew some 3ds max for abit before zbrush
I really like this. It stays away from the "typical" female body armor stye of "lets have boob windows! and a belly window! and leg windows! and ass windows!"
It looks functional and purposeful. The only thing I would do away with is the antiquated shoulder guards, also her neck looks a tad long? is that just me?
